Professional Supervision

I want to mentor and supervise people who are motivated, committed, and creative in their approach. I am a fearless supporter of justice and equality. I foster diversity. I enjoy complex ethical questions, advocacy, and intelligent discussion of differences of opinion. I look for people with strong opinions, deep feeling, a sense of humanity, an understanding of empathic treatment of others, and an interest in exploring how political, social, and justice systems affect our lives and our practice.

I have worked in the areas of refugee resettlement, community mental health, medical social work, psychiatric social work, and private practice. The focus of my practice is primarily on issues related to life transitions, traumatic experience, aging, chronic mental and medical illness, trauma, substance use, navigating complex relationships, and disordered personality traits. I provide education and trainings on mental health topics and consult with families who are navigating issues related to aging and life transitions.

I have ten years of experience working in the social work field. I obtained my LCSW in 2018.

Working toward licensure?

I provide individual supervision to social workers to fulfill the requirements to obtain licensure in the State of Oregon. This service costs $125 per hour with sliding scale options for those working in community mental health or other nonprofit settings.

Thinking about Starting a private practice?

I am experienced in helping licensed professionals think about how to transition to or begin a private practice and can offer practical guidance and information to set up and begin working in private practice. These practicalities include information on insurance, billing, documentation, and business set up and organization.

I understand the feeling of risk associated with beginning a new venture and business and can help balance that sense of risk with the promise of a sense of accomplishment and autonomy that comes with running a successful private practice. This is a short term service usually completed within 2-3 meetings of one hour. The fee for a one hour session is $125. There is a sliding scale option available for those whose presence would contribute to the diversity of our profession in Oregon.

Looking for peer support?

I offer professional supervision to licensed clinicians in all settings. Sometimes we are isolated in our work and need extra support to manage professional challenges. Sometimes we need confidential consulting with an objective peer to sort through complex professional or ethical issues we encounter in our work. Fee per sesssion is $125.
